Whistle Away.

Where am I?

I question myself several times.

Still I can't find my answer.

I don't know if I am angry or I let go.

I shut my eyes and listen to the silence.

Where am I going or where will I be?

I think of you and only you.

I open my eyes and watch the cigarette smoke.

Looking at that door with an exit sign above, I fear where that leads.

365 days to go and all I can think of is hope.

Thoughts are eating my brain.

Vogue maybe?

A stylist who I consider my sister is about to break through or should I say breaking through her career. She is one of the most talented, creative and passionate people I've ever met. I will never forget sitting next to her on the sofa and all she did was stare at her laptop with over 100 tabs open to all online clothes shopping for hours and hours. Getting dressed to go out was a piece of cake for Farah. Like any other girl it takes time to choose the perfect outfit but with Farah she’d open her wardrobe grab some sort of clothing , add some accessories, find a pair of shoes and within 5 minutes it was like an outfit you’d see in an ad, it was like she planned it weeks in advance. I’ll never forget the day I woke up and dragged her down to Westfield, we sat down had a coffee and filled out her application for the college she was applying for. Weeks later I was going out and as I walked by our post box there was a letter from the college, I rushed back into the house handed it to her, watched her as she ripped it open and saw the happiness. The only sentence she wanted to read on that letter was “I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to West London College’’. I was so proud of her and I still am as she still continues to do what she does best and loves doing. FASHION.  Although she no longer lives in London and has pursued her career back in Cairo she always sends me pictures of her photo shoots and updates me on a weekly basis. Below are some pictures of her work and a magazine she has recently been interviewed in.  I am proud to introduce you to the talented fashion stylist Farah El Sayed.

Reunion

Wow, I feel like its been forever since i last wrote a blog. Not having internet installed doesn't help at all. Because my house is a new built, its taking months to get the phone lines fitted. Its sad to see i only wrote one blog last month. But now that i have a USB internet thingie until the actual internet is installed, i'll be able to communicate with the world. Ok enough about the internet, moving on.

So i recently found out that my BESTEST friend is coming to see me in London. She'll be here for Christmas and New years. I'm super excited. Its been one year since she last visited. Soon we reunite. :)

So I went to this amazing exhibition last weekend held in Angel, London where a friend of mine named Petra had a stall set up for her designs. After finishing a degree in Central Saint Martins she finally had her designs ready to show to the public. I love the simple/edgy/no where to be found style she had on the racks. Very talented she is. Already have my eye on a garment. Check out her stuff, it’s definitely worth looking at.

So my mum and I decided to bake a chocolate fudge cake. Been a long time since I had delicious cake and a long time since I actually baked one.  It's called the ‘Devil’s Food Cake’ but we added different ingredients to give the cake an extra delectable flavour but thank you Nigella Lawson for your scrumptious chocolate frosting recipe.

My other half graduated!! After finishing in December and waiting nine months for his actual graduation because the only ceremony for graduation is held in September. The wait is finally over. After studying for almost three years in London and passing with flying colours. I am so proud of him and how far he has come. J

Time to get inked again?

Problem with tattoos they are very addictive. Haven’t got one in a while but craving to get one any day now. Always choose what stays with you for life as every time you look at the reflection of the image you got on your body it will always remind you of that certain something that made you get it in the first place. So be wise and don’t get inked with a tweety bird on your ankle. Now that's regretful!!

My First Blog

I’ll start off with a very talented artist I came across just by walking down a random street in London on his opening day.  They say he is a mixture of Andy Warhol and Banksy. Although no one can ever be compared to legends, you never know that maybe one day Mr.Brainwash could be one himself. Here I share a few photos of my experience at the art exhibition.
